On August 8, 2007 we received a call from Pomona Fairplex management saying that they are cancelling the event which was to be held 4 days later on August 12, 2007. The reason for the cancellation is that Fairplex deemed the event to be "unsafe" and that our event was "likely to attract an audience that could become violent and/or offensive" because of the type of music and artists that would be performing.

Imagine Media Group, LLC. has produced automotive lifestyle events for many years including the Extreme Autofest events. We were co-producing this show with Funkmaster Flex and believed that the event would have been an exciting, safe, and enjoyable event for all. Our audience are enthusiasts of both cars and music which represents a part of an individuals lifestyle.

In late 2006 Fairplex staff had the chance to review Funkmaster Flex's website when we proposed to produce the event at Fairplex. A contract was signed in April of 2007 giving Fairplex plenty of time to review the type of event this was. Regardless of the celebrity guests and performers, the atmosphere and theme of the event never changed and has always been consistent. The audience coming to the event would have still been the same audience.
